Hi there, my name is Myra.

Welcome to the Cooking Spoon!

I was born in Holland but I moved to Spain with my family when I was nine, there I attended an American boarding school. So I was raised pretty “Internationally”.

Food has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I got my first cookbook when I was nine and I never stopped since.

I lived in New York for several years where I did freelance catering. When I moved back to Spain, where I grew up, I worked as a Sous Chef for several Years.

I also attended various courses at the Notter school of Pastry Arts and the Wilton School in Chicago.

I believe cooking should be as much fun as eating, I cook healthy recipes,  comfort food and indulgent desserts, the recipes are easy to follow and each one shows if they are gluten free, dairy free etc…

I love everything from chocolate to vegetables to tofu or duck.
